When I was about 8 or 9 years old, my parents were able to pay for me to have piano lessons for a short time.  Six months of training and a $100 piano (with a cracked sound board) ... plus a lot of determination ... has added so much to my life.

A few years ago, I was privileged to have occasional access to an electric piano that allowed me to play and record several tracks.  Unfortunately, sometimes the files saved on that piano did not transfer all that well when copied to the computer. So blame the bloops on that. Well okay, not all of them, but dog-gone it, quite a few of them!  Midi files are a tricky piece of work ... and learning how to really work with them is a goal for the future.

Enough apologies.  Here they are anyway.  Dedicated to my Mom, who loved music so much and passed that love on to me ... to all of her children ... and who wanted so much to play the piano but never had the opportunities I have had.
